If you are concerned the water filter may be damaged, there are a few steps you can take to ensure it is functioning correctly.
If the water filter is damaged, do the following:
Remove the filter and inspect it for cracks or damage
If the filter is cracked or damaged, replace the filter with a new one
If it’s not damaged, the water filter may need some reinstallation in order to function correctly. Check and see if the O-Rings are correctly installed in the water filter.
Be sure the O-rings are still in place
If the O-rings are damaged or missing replace the filter
